ICMA joined with state and local government organizations (the Big 7) to urge the House Judiciary Committee  to take action on the Marketplace Fairness Act, passed by 69 votes in the Senate in 2013. If the House passes legislation compatible with the Senate bill, state and local governments will have a clear path forward to collect sales taxes owed from Internet purchases. Read the letter here.
