Each year the Cities of Bristol Tennessee and Bristol Virginia call for nominations for the Mayors’ Award of Distinction. This event recognizes individuals and organizations for their efforts to better the community.

Those individuals who go about quietly making others’ lives better and more fulfilling are honored through this program. Groups who strive to make sure the less fortunate have food, clothing, housing, and medical needs are recognized for their valiant efforts.

Twenty three awards have been bestowed over the last six years in a ceremony that takes place each spring.The community will be invited to the event along with families of the award recipients.
