Gilbert’s first women-focused building is officially under development after a groundbreaking on its future site in Gilbert’s Heritage District.

The $3.3 million project will be a 15,000 square-foot mixed-use space, called “Building 313,” and will be home to a restaurant or local brewery, a co-working space for women and TicketForce, a Gilbert-based ticketing business for events.

TicketForce owner, Lynne King Smith, is the visionary behind the project and says Gilbert is the perfect location for her headquarters.

“The Town of Gilbert is like none other and I just love it here and I feel so supported in everything that we’re doing,” said King Smith.

The building’s co-working space, Thrive, will be a place women can come for networking, training, entrepreneurship and private events. It will feature a 2,600-square-foot space with a large, east-facing patio.

“We want to see more women succeed and just have a great time and build their confidence in business,” said King Smith.

Building 313 is expected to open in early 2017.
