ICMA is pleased to launch the application process for the Tranter-Leong Fellowship, the John Garvey Scholarship Fund, and the William H. “Bill” Hansell Jr. Scholarship Fund.

Two individuals will be selected for the Tranter-Leong Fellowship, which offers $5,000 each to two applicants who have been ICMA members for at least a year and who seek either an experience in Asia or outside the United States or Canada.  The John Garvey Scholarship offers $3,500 each to two ICMA members who are age 40 and under to cover direct expenses associated with attendance at an international event, conference or exchange. The Bill Hansell Scholarship offers $1,500 to a member of ICMA who is a mid-career professional with more than 7 years of experience as a local government manager, assistant manager, or department head to gain international experience and learning.

Applications are due January 20, 2023. Successful applicants will be notified no later than February 13, 2023.
