The International Association for Public Participation -- IAP2 USA, IAP2 Canada and IAP2 Southern Africa are working to develop a framework for a professional certification program.  A survey has been launched to allow public participation (P2) practitioners to make suggestions that will provide the basis for this new credentialing program.

The goal is to create a way for well qualified and experienced P2 practitioners to be recognized as professionals who meet established standards – similar to credentialing methods for other professionals like lawyers and architects.
