All the elements that make Kansas City, Mo., a well-run city — from its new streetcar system to its engaged residents — come together in the new Life, Well Run video produced by the communications staff and submitted by Assistant City Manager/Director of Aviation Pat Klein.
City Manager, Troy Schulte, explains in the video that, “the council/manager form of government allows professionals to use their skills, bring their expertise and make recommendations that elected officials can use and collectively move the city forward.”
The video is running on the city government cable TV channel and has been shared over social media. It was derived from a template that we offer to communities. You can find lots of other resources which you can use for civic and educational presentations that can be adapted for your community here: http://lifewellrun.org/life-well-run-resources/
“ICMA’s template made it easy to create a customized video featuring Kansas City,” said Schulte. “It’s a great way to share the message about the value of professional management and how we use our skills and dedication to deliver better services to our residents.”
As an added bonus, Kansas City, Mo., is ICMA’s 2016 Annual Conference host city. So, if you or someone you know is headed to KC, you’ll get a sneak preview of what makes KC Life, Well Run.
