One of my colleagues from the HPO "community" of local government managers  recently shared an article on the "approach" of the Sealy Mattress Company which sounds a lot like High Performance Organization Strategy to me!!  Sealy joins some other interesting private sector companies such as Harley Davidson and Johnsonville Sausage that have utilized these concepts to make a difference in their companies.
