Many of us focus on our IQ and recognize the importance of "intelligence" in the workplace.  How many of us focus on our EQ or EI. . .our emotional intelligence? 

Emotional intelligence represents an individuals ability to be self-aware and regulate their behaviors as well as identify the emotions of  others so as to produce better workplace outcomes.    It includes such skills/personal attributes as Empathy, Motivation, Self Regulation, Social Skills, and Self-Awareness.  It is something we all need to spend more time focus on.
