16-264 ICMA Student Chapter University of Utah-color

The Master of Public Administration Program at the University of Utah is pleased to announce the formation of the University of Utah ICMA Student Chapter.

The purpose of the ICMA student chapter is to:

  • Support undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in local government.
  • Offer opportunities to network and collaborate with local government leaders.
  • Connect the next generation of leaders to the complex and fascinating profession of local government.

The ICMA student chapter will seek to recruit members from a variety of undergraduate and graduate disciplines, including public administration, political science, public policy, city & metropolitan planning, and geography.

The student chapter is pleased to have the support of Melissa Hall, MPA Program Manager, and Paul Morris, MPA Faculty, as faculty advisors. Mark Christensen, city manager of Saratoga Springs, UT, will serve as chapter advisor and MPA student Todd Andersen will serve as chapter president. We look forward to working with ICMA in this exciting endeavor and are pleased to join the prestigious roster of ICMA student chapters all across the world.
