ICMA's Community Sustainability Award recognizes the innovative local government programs or processes that demonstrate creativity in balancing that community's social, economic, environmental, and cultural needs. In 2006, ICMA presented one of two awards in the greater-than-50,000 population category to the city of Aurora, Colorado, and City Manager Ronald S. Miller for the Home of Our Own Program.
