This is the 2010 nomination of Germantown, Tennessee's Smart Growth Partnership Program: Meeting the Triple Bottom Line program for the Community Sustainability Award. City Administrator Patrick J. Lawton is credited with helping create this program that assists city officials in determining how well a development project accomplishes the City's Smart Growth priorities while also achieving the Triple Bottom Line. The Triple Bottom Line encompasses financial sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community building. If a development project meets all these criteria, then they are also eligible for a financial incentive package.
