This is the 2010 nomination of Delray Beach, Florida's Vision Assemblies & Annual Strategic Planning Lead to Renaissance of Local Schools and the City's Quality of Life program for the Strategic Leadership and Governance Award. City Manager David T. Harden is credited with helping develop this program which forged a 20 year partnership between the City, the County School District, local schools, parents, and students. This partnership resulted in improved funding for the upkeep and construction of local schools, abandoning the practice of "busing" students, and generally improved the local schools' reputations.
