This article describes the City of Danville's aggressive efforts to address soaring unemployment, underskilled workforce, and aging infrastructure. Discusses the creation of a partnership involving multiple area jurisdictions, the business community, and education providers to build state-of-the-art research facilities, offer workforce training, and improve the telecommunications infrastructure.
