Empowering Local Actors: Leveraging Data for Equitable Housing & Workforce Equity

This session will focus on how local and state leaders can leverage data to advance equitable outcomes in fair housing and workforce opportunity.
The session will:
Provide a brief overview of the institutional systems in place that are causing unequal outcomes in fair housing and the workforce, and how it affects the larger economy
Discuss how data from civil society, state and local, and Federal government sources can be used to improve local and organization outcomes. E.g. identifying trends in data and developing data-driven interventions and initiatives; incorporating technology into organizational processes to increase equity.
Provide case studies showcasing state, local, civil society, and corporate actors successfully using data to improve outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
- The attendee will learn how to leverage government data-sources for local action.
- The attendee will be able to develop state/local data-driven interventions.
- The attendee will learn how American cities are leveraging data systemically advance equity
