This article examines the successful results that Normandy Park, Washington had in contracting out its police dispatching services. It details a brief history of the community's dispatch service, the difficulties that occurred, and the ultimate decision to contract out this service. The article suggests that including all relevant stakeholders was essential to successfully resolve this difficult service problem.
