This staff report outlines the advantages and disadvantages of entering into a law enforcement mutual aid agreement. This agreement binds participants to assist any other participating law enforcement agency which is faced with a natural or man-made disaster or emergency which requires outside resources to resolve, and is intended to encourage local government cooperation in responding to a disaster or terrorist attack.
