This article describes a cooperative training program between the city of Lawrence, Kansas, and the U.S. Army. Describes how city officials assist military commander trainees by sharing with them an understanding of local government service provision and operational management. Designed to develop command skills in the military trainees and to facilitate their interaction with local government officials.
