Developed by the eight local jurisdictions within Mecklenburg County and Foundation For The Carolinas, this community-driven plan is based on an aspirational vision and highlights the characteristics of the place in which residents want to live and work. Based on a consensus set of guiding principles, it identifies recommended strategies and actions that build on initiatives already underway or that present new opportunities and suggests "success measures" that can be used to monitor progress. Development of the plan followed the completion of a feasibility study.
