Why be a presenter?
- Present to a large and motivated audience of up and comers, mid managers, and senior managers of cities, counties, and special districts. In 2015 we had 698 to 1264 live audience attendees per webinar. With the quality digital recordings, many more will benefit from your insights. We do our best to get the highest benefits to the profession from your volunteer efforts.
- Do this from the convenience of your PC and phone line.
- Benefit from what you learn from your colleagues and the audience. Many panelists comment that they get as much or more out of the experience as the audience.
- Master Coach and webinar moderator Don Maruska will ease the process and help you shine.
what's the commitment for a presenter?
- Provide a compelling presentation with an engaging PowerPoint. Our audiences are looking for concrete examples and candid stories of successes as well as failures so that they can benefit deeply from the session. We have 3 panelists per webinar and target 20 minutes per panelist with Q&A, polling, and other elements completing the 1.5 hour webinar. There are recordings of past webinars at the "Agendas & Archives" tab of www.icma.org/coaching.
- Participate from your internet-connected computer and a landline telephone (for sound quality).
- Submit a jpeg headshot, 2-3 paragraph bio, and release for recording the webinar one month before the session.
- Submit a draft PowerPoint two weeks prior to the webinar.
- Attend a 1-hour practice webinar one week before the webinar with all presenters to do a technology check out and to review the materials to determine order of the presenters and any desirable revisions to optimize collective value for the audience.
- Submit a final PowerPoint and any reference materials that you'd like to offer in PDF form 3 business days before the webinar.
- Join the webinar at least 15 minutes in advance of the scheduled start for final sound checks and logistics.
Enjoy the experience!
