In early 2013, 21 local governments joined together with the International City/County Management Association, the Alliance for Innovation, and the Center for Urban Innovation at Arizona State University to establish the Local Government Research Collaborative (LGRC). The charter members of this experiment are contributing their time, expertise, and financial resources to develop an actionable research agenda that addresses significant issues confronting local governments with grounded research. The LGRC offers a rare opportunity for researchers to partner with local government professionals, and to gain access to data and resources from leading government agencies in the pursuit of local government innovation.
Now, the local government research collaborative is soliciting proposals on two new topics.
