The City of Windsor Heights had always lacked a well-designed park area. Through a partnership with several committees and the local Chamber of Commerce, the City upgraded the recreational amenities and rebuilt the playgrounds with modern equipment. The City also partnered with the local schools to have the 6th and 7th graders work to design an architectural layout for the playgrounds. Windsor Heights also partnered Polk County for the building and engineering of the projects.
